Cancellation, Refund, and Change Policy

At Colmenya Travel, we strive to provide our guests with the best possible travel and tour experiences. We understand that travel plans can change unexpectedly. This policy outlines the terms and conditions for cancellations, refunds, and booking changes for our tours, transfers, and related travel services.

By booking a service through our website (colmenyatravel.com), via WhatsApp, or over the phone, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. Cancellation and Refund Terms

Refund amounts for cancellations depend on how early you notify us prior to the scheduled start time of your tour or transfer service:

  • Cancellations 48 Hours or More in Advance: If you cancel your booking at least 48 hours before the scheduled tour or service start time, you are eligible for a 100% full refund (minus any non-refundable banking/transaction transaction fees, if applicable).
  • Cancellations Between 24 and 48 Hours: If you cancel between 24 to 48 hours before the service time, a 50% refund will be issued.
  • Cancellations Less Than 24 Hours / No-Show: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the service, or failure to arrive at the designated meeting point at the scheduled time (No-Show), are non-refundable.

Important Note on Special/Custom Tours: For certain tailor-made holiday packages, private yacht charters, or flight-inclusive tours, third-party provider rules (hotels, airlines) will apply, and stricter non-refundable policies may be enforced. You will be explicitly notified of these terms during booking.

2. Booking Changes and Amendments

We do our best to accommodate changes to your travel dates, pickup times, or passenger counts:

  • Change Requests: Any request to change your booking must be sent to us via email or WhatsApp at least 24 hours before the service starts.
  • Availability: All change requests are subject to availability (e.g., vehicle capacity, tour availability, hotel room status).
  • Price Differences: If the new date or tour has a higher price, the difference must be paid by the client to confirm the change. If it has a lower price, the difference will be refunded according to our general refund timeline.

3. Cancellations and Changes by Colmenya Travel

  • Force Majeure: On rare occasions, tours or transfers may be cancelled or altered by Colmenya Travel due to severe weather conditions, natural disasters, strikes, government restrictions, or other unforeseen safety reasons (Force Majeure).
  • Our Commitment: In such cases, we will immediately contact you to offer an alternative date/tour or issue a 100% full refund. Colmenya Travel is not liable for any additional personal expenses (e.g., flight tickets booked independently) incurred due to such cancellations.

4. How Refunds Are Processed

  • Method: Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method (the same credit/debit card or bank account used during booking).
  • Timeline: Once approved, we initiate the refund immediately. However, it may take 5 to 14 business days for the amount to reflect in your account, depending on your bank’s or card issuer’s processing times.
